Xiaomi has launched a new laptop in the Chinese market called the Mi Notebook 12.4 2-in-1, which is essentially a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Book S 12.4 that was launched globally in June 2022. The laptop is now available for pre-order at Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, and JD.com and is expected to have the same specifications as the global variant.

The Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor that has a 7W TDP, a maximum clock speed of 3.15 MHz, 8 cores + 8 threads, and an Adreno 680 GPU. The laptop comes with 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM, and also has a built-in micro SD card port for memory expansion up to 512 GB.
The laptop boasts a 12.4-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio, peak brightness of 500 nits, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and supports touch inputs. The device has a 5 MP camera sensor for selfies and video calls and a 13 MP camera sensor at the back.
The Xiaomi Book S 12.4 comes pre-installed with an ARM-based version of Windows 11 and only has one USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. The laptop is equipped with a 38.08 Wh/4,920 mAh battery that supports 65 W fast charging.
