Upcoming Honda SUV – A Game Changer for the Indian Market

-

The highly anticipated upcoming Honda SUV has already created a lot of buzz in India, with multiple spy shots emerging from test runs. Once again, a test mule of this eagerly-awaited SUV has been spied, giving us a closer look at the vehicle. Expected to make its global debut in India by June, this new Honda SUV could be a strong rival for the likes of the Creta and Grand Vitara.

Launch Details and Design Features

According to online rumours, Honda is set to debut this new SUV in India on June 6th, marking a global event and a worldwide debut. The upcoming Honda SUV will not be a compact vehicle, with an expected length of 4.3 meters. The short overhangs on the front and rear of the vehicle suggest that Honda is aiming to maximize wheelbase to offer spacious interiors.

Although the design is still under wraps due to the camouflage, the overall appearance is expected to be boxy. It is likely to draw design cues from the latest WR-V and HR-V global SUVs, with taillights that seem similar to the 2023 W-V sold overseas.

Cutting-Edge Safety and Technology

Honda is testing advanced safety equipment for its upcoming SUV, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a lane assist camera, and a 360-degree parking camera-assist. The test mule has been seen with ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) that feature camera housing.

Some other design details include blacked alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, and roof rails. In terms of features, we expect the new Honda SUV to be equipped with a digital instrument console, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and possibly even front-ventilated seats.

 Engine and Performance

The upcoming Honda SUV is expected to be powered by a single engine version – the 1.5-litre petrol engine found in the 5th generation Honda City. Top variants may also feature hybrid technology, similar to that seen in the City. Honda will offer options for both manual and automatic transmissions, ensuring a smooth and comfortable driving experience for all.

A Potential Creta and Grand Vitara Rival

With its global debut fast approaching, the upcoming Honda SUV is set to make waves in the Indian market as a strong rival to popular models like the Creta and Grand Vitara. Its combination of a spacious interior, cutting-edge technology, and powerful performance make it a highly anticipated addition to the competitive SUV segment. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official launch date in June.
