Bengaluru-based EV startup, River, has launched its first electric scooter, the River Indie, which is claimed to be India’s first maxi electric scooter. The electric scooter is aimed at providing practicality and comes with segment-first features like a crash guard and front set footpegs. The vehicle has three riding modes – Eco, Ride, and Rush – and a claimed true range of 120km. The battery pack charges from zero to 80 percent in five hours.
The River Indie electric scooter comes equipped with disc brakes at both the front and rear, featuring a combi braking system for added safety. It also features 14-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, and coil springs with hydraulic dampers at the rear, providing a comfortable riding experience.
