Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be launched on March 28, 2023, in China. This upcoming device will reportedly be the world’s first phone to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, which is expected to provide powerful performance and efficiency.
The recently revealed poster for the Redmi Note 12 Turbo gives us our first look at the device’s design. The back panel of the phone features a 64-megapixel triple camera unit. The right side has a volume rocker and what looks like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, the top edge of the device features a microphone, an IR blaster, a speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The opposite edge has a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a SIM slot.
Rumored Specifications for the Redmi Note 12 Turbo
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is rumored to have a 6.67-inch flat OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The device may run on the MIUI 14-based Android 13 operating system. It is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, which means the device could charge to 100% in just over half an hour.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip. The highest variant of the device may feature 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The front of the device may house a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while the back of the phone may feature a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
