Realme has unveiled its latest smartphone in China and it’s called the GT Neo 5. The handset is an addition to the GT Neo series and is available for order in China. It will go for sale from the 15th of February and the global rollout is expected to happen soon. Furthermore, this device will be coming with 150W and 240W charging options with 5000mAH battery and 4600mAh battery respectively.
Design and Display:
The handset will come with a transparent RGB design and will come with e-sports berserk light effect, lighting up the highlight moments of the game, says the company. These lights can also be used for notifications alerts like incoming calls, messages, and other applications. As promised Realme has announced this handset with a 6.7-inch 144Hz 1.5K flat AMOLED screen from Tianma and also has 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, up to 1400 nits brightness.
There is an In-display fingerprint sensor on the handset and the front camera is placed in the punch hole at the top of the screen. The handset will be made available for users in White, Black, and Purple color options.
Chipset, Storage, and Operating system:
The Realme GT Neo 5 will be powered with Octa Core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 4nm processor, coupled with Adreno next-gen GPU. The 150W charging option handset will be provided in 8GB / 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5X RAM options with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The bigger 240W variant will be coming with a 16GB RAM option and 256GB / 512GB storage options. Both variants will come out of the box with the Android 13 Operating system with Realme UI 4.0 on top.
Camera and Battery:
Both the variants will come with a main 50MP rear-facing camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor along with OIS features and has f/1.88 aperture, and a 23.6mm equivalent focal length. There is a secondary 8MP IMX355 112-degree ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP GCo2M microscope lens. On the front, we can see a 16MP camera with a Samsung S5K3P9 sensor.
Coming to the battery, there are two variants with a 150W variant featuring a 5000mAh battery while the 240W variant comes with a 4600mAh battery. The 240W model is the fastest charging smartphone that will be mass produces and promises to give 2 hours of talk time with 30 seconds of charge, reaches from 1 to 20% in 80 seconds, up to 50% in 4 minutes, and full charge about 9 minutes. The 5000mAh battery version supports 150W charging that can charge the device to 100 percent in 16 minutes.
