OnePlus Pad India price starts at ₹37,999, pre-order begins April 28

-

OnePlus, a brand known for its premium smartphones, has entered the tablet market with its first-ever offering, the OnePlus Pad. The tablet will be available for pre-order in India starting April 28. OnePlus has revealed the prices of its new tablet, and it seems the company is all set to challenge other Android tablet makers like Xiaomi and Samsung. The OnePlus Pad is a feature-rich tablet, but does it have what it takes to compete against Apple iPads and other top Android tablets? Let’s take a closer look.

OnePlus Pad Pricing and Accessories

The base variant of the OnePlus Pad comes with a price tag of Rs 37,999, while the top model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 39,999. The tablet is available in just one colour option – Halo Green.

OnePlus has also unveiled the prices for its tablet accessories. The OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard is priced at Rs 7,999, the White stylus (Stylo) at Rs 4,999, and the OnePlus Folio Case at Rs 1,499.

At these prices, the OnePlus Pad is set to compete with other Android tablets like those from Xiaomi and Samsung. Additionally, it also positions itself as a contender against certain Apple iPad models. However, the lack of a 5G variant may prove to be a disadvantage for OnePlus, as it uses a flagship SoC (system on a chip) from MediaTek.

OnePlus Pad Specifications

The OnePlus Pad features an 11.6-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Full-HD+ resolution, and 500 nits brightness (typical). Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and a 9510mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC charging technology.

The SoC is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technologies, ensuring fast app loading and smooth multitasking. The OnePlus Pad has a sleek design, weighing just 552 grams and measuring 6.5mm in thickness.

The rear panel of the OnePlus Pad houses a 13-megapixel camera with EIS support and the capability to record 4K videos at 30fps. The front features an 8-megapixel camera, supporting Full-HD recording at 30fps.

The OnePlus Pad is currently available in a Wi-Fi variant only, with the possibility of an LTE variant being added to future generations. This means that users won’t be able to use a SIM card for internet access on the go. Additionally, there is no 3.5mm audio jack, as OnePlus aims to promote the sales of its wireless earbuds.
