OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced the upcoming launch of the OnePlus Ace 2V, the latest addition to its Ace series. The device will be released in China on March 7, 2023, and is expected to be equipped with high-end specifications and features.
The President of OnePlus China, Louis Li, shared a teaser on his Weibo account that showed the upcoming smartphone with an alert slider on the top right side, above the power key located in the centre. The volume rocker is situated on the left-hand side. While the post did not explicitly mention the chipset, Li mentioned that the Ace 2V will provide a “flagship experience”.

The OnePlus Ace 2V will be equipped with the powerful Dimensity 9000 chipset, which is expected to deliver impressive performance. The smartphone is expected to feature up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It may also run Android 13 out-of-the-box, with ColorOS 13 in China.
The device is rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC charging, which should provide long-lasting battery life and quick charging times. Additionally, it is expected to feature a 6.74-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with high-frequency PWM dimming, offering a smooth and vibrant display. The Ace 2V is also expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor, providing a convenient and secure way to unlock the device.
Although the teaser did not reveal the design of the smartphone, leaked renders suggest that the device will have a flat frame. Furthermore, the company has confirmed that the Ace 2V will have a glass back made of 2.8D micro-arc glass, providing a sleek and premium look.
The device is expected to have a triple camera setup, led by a 64MP OmniVision OV64M sensor with OIS. Other cameras are expected to include an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field-of-view and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M sensor. On the front, the smartphone may have a 16MP camera for selfies.
The OnePlus Ace 2V is rumored to be launched in India and other global markets as the OnePlus Nord 2.
