HMD Global has announced it new Nokia G22 Smartphone with QuickFIx Repairability. This will be the first device from the Nokia smartphone to come with repairability at its core which also includes global collaboration with iFixit. The users can easily access repair guides and affordable parts to replace the damaged display, flat battery, or bent charging port with the QuickFix design.

Specifications of Nokia G22:

The Nokia G22 features a 6.52-inch (1600 x 720 pixels) HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. The device also provides 500 nits of typical brightness and comes with a V notch. HDM Global has also provided the handset with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood, there is a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Unisoc T606 12nm processor coupled with Mali G57 MP1 GPU.

The device will be featuring 4GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB of storage options which can be extended further up to a maximum of 2TB via a microSD card slot. This is a dual SIM device with one nano also and the second one being a hybrid slot, that can be used for the secondary SIM card or a MicroSD card. The Nokia G22 is IP52 certified for Dust and Splash resistance.

On the camera front, there is a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture size and a 2MP macro camera and LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. To power the smartphone, there will be a 5050mAh battery on the back with support for 20W charging.

Pricing and availability:

The Nokia G22 will be coming with 100 percent recycled plastic back which makes it environmentally friendly. It will be available in Meteor Grey and Lagoon Blue and starts at an RRP of 179 Euros (Rs. 15,690 approx.) for 4GB + 64GB. At-home Fit Kits for Nokia G22 are available for 5 Euros (Rs. 440 approx.) from iFixit.com.

Replacement parts are available from iFixit.com at a global average price of 49.95 Euros (Rs. 4,380 approx.), battery at 24.95 Euros (Rs. 2,185 approx.), and charging port at 19.95 Euros (Rs. 1,750 approx.).
