Motorola Edge 40 Renders Unveil Vibrant Design and Dual Cameras

-

Motorola is gearing up for a major launch of its products across the globe in the coming weeks or months. One of the highly anticipated smartphones from Motorola is the Edge 40, which has recently leaked through official-looking renders shared by Evan Blass on Twitter. The renders showcase a colorful design and a dual camera setup, providing a glimpse of what to expect from this upcoming device.

Design Elements and Colorways:

The leaked renders reveal that the Motorola Edge 40 shares similar design elements with its sibling, the Edge 40 Pro, including the “endless edge” display and the overall design language. However, there are some notable differences, such as a more prominent curved display that seemingly merges with the metal frame with rounded corners. The back of the phone appears to have a textured finish, likely made of polycarbonate, which is a common choice for more affordable Android phones.

One interesting aspect of the Edge 40’s design is the introduction of new colorways. In addition to the traditional black colorway, the renders show blue, green, and Magenta options, which could be a result of Motorola’s partnership with Pantone, as seen with the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion in the U.S. This suggests that Motorola is aiming for a more vibrant and stylish look with the Edge 40.

Camera and Other Features:

The Edge 40 is expected to feature a dual camera setup on the rear, with a 50MP sensor as the primary lens, following the design language found on Motorola’s 2023 models like the Moto G Power 5G. It may also include a second 12MP sensor for additional photography capabilities. Other notable features based on the leaked renders include Dolby Atmos powered speakers for an enhanced audio experience, Android 13 out of the box for the latest software, and possibly some level of water resistance for added durability.

Launch and Expectations:

Motorola has not yet announced the official launch date for the Edge 40, but the leaked renders and recent Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification of Motorola devices suggest that the launch is imminent, likely to happen in May. With the Edge 40, Motorola is expected to continue its tradition of offering affordable flagship smartphones with appealing designs and features, targeting consumers who value performance and aesthetics at a reasonable price point.
