The Moto X40 was released in China in December of last year, and now its global version, the Edge 40 Pro, has surfaced in press renders. The phone is expected to have similar specifications as the X40, including a waterproof body, a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and DC dimming. The upcoming handset will be the successor of the Edge 30 Pro and the leaks about the same has been bought to us by the famous tipster @evleaks.
Specifications of Edge 40 Pro:
The Moto Edge 40 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 4nm Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno next-gen GPU, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. It will run on Android 13 and support dual nano-SIM cards. The phone will measure 161.3 × 73.9 × 8.5 mm and weigh 197 grams.
The Edge 40 Pro will have a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera with OIS and an Omnivision OV50A sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide autofocus camera with a Samsung S5KJN1 sensor and 117° field of view, and a 12MP 2X portrait telephoto camera with an IMX663 sensor. On the front, it will have a massive 60MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone will also support USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos.
The Edge 40 Pro will be water and dust-resistant (IP68) and come with 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC connectivity options. It will have a 4600mAh battery with 125W TurboPower fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 15W reverse charging capabilities.
