Lexus Unveils Upgraded LC500h Sports Coupe in India at a Starting Price of Rs 2.39 Crore

-

Lexus has unveiled the latest iteration of its popular LC500h sports coupe in India. Priced at Rs 2.39 crore (ex-showroom), the updated LC500h comes with an array of enhancements, particularly in its infotainment system, making it an even more enticing choice for car enthusiasts. While the design and powertrain remain largely unchanged, the addition of an all-new touchscreen display is a notable highlight of the updated model.

Interior Revamp: State-of-the-Art Infotainment:

The most significant update in the new LC500h lies within its cabin. The previous 10.3-inch infotainment screen has been replaced by a larger and more user-friendly 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Unlike its predecessor, the new screen is positioned independently and closer to the driver, ensuring effortless access. The sleek and modern design of the dashboard has been refined to accommodate the new screen, resulting in an enhanced aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the updated software interface provides improved functionality, drawing inspiration from the Lexus RX.

Ergonomic Advancements and Streamlined Interface:

The LC500h’s infotainment system has undergone a transformation to offer a more intuitive user experience. The elimination of the touchpad interface, which was previously located on the center console, has made way for a cleaner and more ergonomic layout. With the touchpad removed, Lexus has reorganized the buttons on the center console, further enhancing usability. These enhancements contribute to a sleek and sophisticated interior ambiance, complementing the car’s exceptional build quality, and hand-stitched details.

Unchanged Performance and Styling:

While the interior upgrades steal the spotlight, the LC500h’s performance and exterior design remain unchanged. Powering the coupe is a robust 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine, coupled with an electric motor and a self-charging lithium-ion battery. This hybrid powertrain delivers a combined output of 354 horsepower, with a torque of 348Nm from the combustion engine and 330Nm from the electric motor. The LC500h achieves remarkable acceleration, boasting a claimed 0-100kph time of 4.7 seconds. The exterior design retains its timeless elegance, with the only notable change being the introduction of redesigned 21-inch alloy wheels.

Lexus continues its foray into the Indian luxury car market with the launch of the updated LC500h. Following this release, the brand recently introduced the all-new RX SUV, priced from Rs 95.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Later in the year, Lexus plans to unveil the LM luxury MPV, featuring the latest generation model. Comment in the section below if you have any queries on the same and stay tuned for more.
