Google is all set to launch the Pixel 7a, a mid-range smartphone, at its I/O 2023 event on May 10. The phone is expected to come in five different color options, which is a first for the A-series Pixel phones. According to a recent leak by tipster Paras Guglani, the Pixel 7a is set to impress with its upgraded specifications and exciting new features.

The Pixel 7a is expected to come with a 256GB storage option, which is double the storage of its predecessor, the Pixel 6a. The phone is also rumored to have 8GB of RAM, a bump up from the 6GB RAM on the Pixel 6a. This upgrade will make the phone faster and smoother when it comes to multitasking and handling heavy applications.

The phone is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera sensor. This will allow users to capture stunning images and videos with ease. For selfies, the phone is said to feature a 10.8MP front camera, which is the same as the one found in the more premium Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

In terms of design, the Pixel 7a will come with a metallic visor-like camera module on the back. The phone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. The phone will have a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the screen. The phone will run on Android 13 out of the box and is likely to feature the Tensor G2 SoC, which is Google’s custom-designed chipset.

Additionally, the phone is said to support 5W wireless charging, but details about the battery and charging speed are yet to be revealed. The phone’s design renders have been leaked, and it looks quite promising. The phone is expected to launch in India soon after the I/O 2023 debut. Are you excited about the Pixel 7a?
