Panasonic has launched the Lumix S5II, the latest addition to its Lumix S series, in India. This hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera comes with advanced features such as Phase Hybrid autofocus and image stabilisation technology. Panasonic has also introduced the Lumix S5IIX, which has a more extensive video feature set, and will be available in the upcoming months along with a new 14-28mm ultrawide L-mount half-macro zoom lens.
Panasonic’s newly launched Lumix S5II and S5IIX cameras come with a 24MP 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor that is compatible with PDAF. The cameras’ imaging engines have been newly developed in collaboration between Leica and Lumix to achieve high resolution, natural description, and higher-speed signal processing for high bitrate recording.
Panasonic highlighted that these cameras shine in wedding photography as they adopt Phase Hybrid autofocus tech with advanced subject detection and metering technologies. Another unique feature of these cameras is real-time LUT, which allows users to apply colour grading to their photos in the field to achieve a more finished look right from the camera itself.
Active Image Stabilization Technology is onboard to help keep the recording steady for a wide range of shooting conditions and situations. The Lumix S5II and S5IIX can compensate for camera shake 200% better compared to conventional image stabilisation, according to Panasonic.
Panasonic’s new hybrid full-frame mirrorless camera, Lumix S5II, will be available soon across Lumix Lounges, Panasonic Lumix 4K Zones, and the dealer network in India. The Lumix S5II body is priced at Rs 1,94,990, while the kit with a 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 lens costs Rs 2,24,990. The Lumix S5II combo kit, which comes with two lenses (20-60mm F3.5-5.6 and Lumix S 50mm F1.8), is priced at Rs 2,44,990. Panasonic will also introduce the Lumix S5IIX in the upcoming months, and the pricing and other details of the camera will be revealed then.
