Xiaomi’s first electric car, codenamed Modena, is soon to be launched as the Xiaomi MS11 electric sedan. Leaked images reveal a production-ready look of the vehicle and it was spotted testing in Mongolia’s snow-covered regions. The MS11 is expected to come with two battery options, one from BYD and the other from CATL, and fast-charging capabilities are assumed. The images show the MS11 with a five-door sedan body style, large five-spoke alloy wheels, flush door handles, a glass roof, and large disc brakes with yellow brake callipers. The front fascia has a large headlamp unit with signature LED DRLs and a sporty front air dam. The rear lighting is split with a horizontal LED light bar running across. The MS11 seems to have taken design cues from the BYD Seal in terms of the overall silhouette and styling of the front and rear lights, and has smoother-flowing lines for a proportionate look.

The MS11 is expected to use either BYD-sourced Blade battery packs that use the LFP technology or an 800V Qilin battery pack from CATL which will support super-fast charging. The prominent bulge at the front of the roof could also house ADAS-related sensors such as LiDAR.
