Hero MotoCorp has finally launched its latest 110cc scooter, the Xoom, in India. This scooter sits below the Maestro range in Hero’s lineup and has been designed to offer a sporty appearance with a futuristic touch. The Xoom boasts sharp bodywork with creased side panels highlighting its proportions and a sporty wheel design. In terms of lighting, it features an LED headlight and taillight.
In terms of technology, the Xoom offers an LCD with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port, along with Hero’s i3S technology. This technology allows for smartphone compatibility, giving riders access to various features such as call alerts, SMS notifications, phone battery alerts, low fuel indicators, theft alerts, find-my-parking, and track-my-vehicle functions. However, it does not come with a navigation feature. Hero has also added an under-boot light for extra convenience.
The Xoom is powered by a 110.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, producing 8.05bhp and 8.70Nm of torque. This engine is the same one used in the Maestro scooter. The Xoom rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear shock, and braking is handled by a front disc/drum and rear drum setup mounted on 12-inch alloys wrapped in 90/90 front and 90/80 rear tires (100/90 for the VX and ZX).
The Xoom comes in three variants: LX, VX, and ZX. Each variant offers different features and color options, with the LX coming in a single color, the VX in three, and the ZX in four. The LX is priced at Rs 68,599, the VX at Rs 71,799, and the ZX at Rs 76,699, all ex-showroom Delhi.
